Through the multiple brass instruments molded, my plaster casting emphasizes that individual solos as well as ensembles can be utilized to create a form of art: instrumental art. Solos are essentially artistic opportunities for a musician to grow in his or her individual talent, while ensembles are more geared towards allowing each participant to bond, balance, and create as a group. Either way, the outcome is art. In other words, this piece is confirming once again that art cannot be limited.
